2 authors whose books I love to read.....

Hello all,

Today I want to tell you all about two authors that I think are excellent in their own styles.

The first is Matthew Reilly. His writing is fast paced, thrilling, edge of the seat Indiana Jones style. His last book was "Seven Deadly Wonders". A visit to amazon.com will prove fruitful.

The other author is James Seigel. His books always have twists and turns and a surprising ending. You should get a copy of his book "Derailed". It is a must read. Two authors with very differing styles!!!!

I hope you find this post useful. Until next time.....

UYMG 2007 Malaysia - More thoughts

Hello Again,

I have survived UYMG Malaysia. I say this because the days were really long from 8am to 8pm except for the last day which finished at about 6.30pm. Having recovered I am now able to post this blog. Overall I would say attendees received some value but I have to say I had hoped to see more of Stephen Pierce. The point I am making here is that when a presenter demonstrates value people will rush to sign up, the selling becomes easier. I believe that internet marketing has potential but budding marketers must choose their mentors carefully. We need a mentor because there is just too much to understand and learn and it makes sense not to reinvent the wheel.

On another note, I am an avid reader of fiction and a bridge player. Tomorrow I will tell you about an author whose next book I cannot wait to read. Maybe two authors!!

Till then....

UYMG 2007 Malaysia- 3rd day

Hello again,

Managed to get myself out of bed early to get to the seminar. Must be something in it. There is so much to learn that it is difficult to know where to start. Does anyone out there feel the same?

So much information, so little time.

So many speakers, so many offers (upsells). I may need a mentor to help me decide which package to take!!!!

More later.

Still at UYMG2007 Malaysia today

The only useful (and new) thing I learned yesterday was about Blogging, setting up my blogspot account, and starting this blog. Jason Tan shared his tips and tricks generously. The best thing was in his 1 hour presentation he taught many things for newbies like me and kept his sales pitch to less than 5 minutes. I really appreciate that he respected my intelligence and my time. I paid good money to get here, took leave from work to come here all the way from Singapore.

So many speakers took the stage day-before-yesterday and yesterday. Of course, they offered many tips & tricks, but most of them concentrated more on the "special" packages they were offering - the upsell products. Perhaps those packages are good, but I got turned off by speakers who did not really show value before tying to sell me something a LOT MORE expensive. For example, how would I learn to write a book if I sign up for a package with someone who will get his staff to write the book in my name?

Anyway, if there is one package I would consider taking up it would be Jason Tan's.

Signing off for now ! Will try to write again tomorrow, if the internet connection actually works!!!

I am at a seminar - Internet Marketing, of all things !!!

I am at Stephen Pierce's Unleash Your Marketing Genius seminar. I came only because my wife pushed me to. However, I am glad I did. I learnt a lot in the last 1-1/2 days. Not just about Internet marketing, but marketing in general as well, empowering myself, working with my subconscious mind, and so on....

My mind is opening and I am starting to dig this stuff !!
